Everybody has secrets, life stories, which we want to keep private, far from other people. For all of you who think that certain aspects of your life should be kept as a secret, here is a little piece of software that may be interesting to you. Unlike hand-written diaries, your digital diary is stored to your computer, away from the curious eyes thanks to its password protection.
Smart Diary Suite comes as a fully featured personal diary in three editions for you to choose from. It is intuitive, suitable for everyone. Everything is neatly arranged, there are so many features available, a lot of buttons and drop drop-down menus that will help you organize your daily routine with no effort whatsoever. In spite of the fact it has so many buttons at one place, each button has its role, works fine and Smart Diary Suite is not confusing at all.
Someone will maybe say Smart Diary Suite does not differentiate itself from other diaries, and that it seems to be another personal planer because it's advanced scheduler/calendar. Well that is partially true, however it's main feature still remains a diary option. On first run you will be prompted to create new diary, and secure it with username/password and security question, just in case you forget your password. Diary feature includes main screen with text box where you can easily input text(your stories) , images and you can track your "Life factors" such as health/body, energy level, mood, and weather.
As we already mentioned this tool has advanced scheduler/calendar, where you can insert daily, weekly and monthly activities, set reminder and keep your life organized. Schedule tab is very well organized and we were pleasantly surprised with it's efficiency.
All this features are great and could be very helpful but unfortunately Smart Diary Suite free has some limitations. You will not be able to configure "Life factors", run "Life factors" wizard, pain map, voice entries and nutrition details. Schedule tab also comes with limitations for this version, you will not be able to configure schedule categories and toggle the timeline mode. If you want to track some part of your life, and if you need Life factors feature, and other limited features you're expected to pay to unlock that abilities. Also there are graphs at the bottom of the main screen where you can see your past activities and compare them. Problem we found is that graphs tend to be very hard for reading, all that lines look somehow messy which really makes this part of software look bad.
Smart Diary Suite free comes with nice and clean, user-friendly interface, everything is where supposed to be, arranged well and you can adapt on this tool almost instantly. Also you can choose between several color themes to adjust the environment according to your desires, however this option is not available in free version! Nevertheless we think that Smart Diary Suite free should be improved in some of its next releases, for example icons at the top panel should be bigger,shinier, ready for Windows 7. We kindly advise developers to take proper steps and improve graphic details.
Overall, all great features make this tool very easy to use, understandable and definitely worthwhile. It's intent is clear and we are sure about its efficiency, so we highly recommend Smart Diary Suite free for all of you who need such a tool. Download and install free version and if you need more functions you can always purchase lite or home version.
