Today, a new rumor has surfaced that Microsoft is reportedly very close to the Beta development stage for Skype app for Windows Phone OS. This is a great news for all Windows Phone owners who have been wondering when the long awaited app will be released for WP7 platform.
Apparently, an anonymous source tipped off the WP7Lab.com, claiming that the software giant will be testing the beta version of Skype for Windows Phone internally with a selected number of employees. Over the coming weeks, Microsoft will conduct a series of tests to determine whether the app is ready for its debut. Back in January at CES 2012, a Microsoft spokesperson said that Skype for Windows Phone will be available soon. On top of that, if this rumor proves true those WP7 owners eager to take the app out for a spin will not have to wait much longer. Microsoft bought Skype back in October 2011 for $12.5 billion, and since then the company has been working hard to deliver Skype for both Windows Phone and the Xbox 360 platforms. Skype for Windows Phone is just around the corner, stay tuned for more details. |
